 A little whine with that knee? 2004-02-26 ~ 8:40 a.m.  Surgery day was yesterday. I have no meniscus left - minimal cartiledge & some arthritis. Yay, me. I go this afternoon to get the bandage off. Last night, Lilly kept saying "Gramma, that is a big bandage" It goes from my toes to my upper thigh. She ran around the house most of the day with one of the blue socks they gave me yesterday on her leg so that she had a 'big bandage' too. I go this afternoon to get the bandage off. It's nearly impossible to sit &/or lay down with a 4 year old in the house. And I really am not good at asking for help. I go back to work Monday. I have mixed feelings there.... one of the other managers told me on Wednesday that the DM's comment on how much better our specialists did this year as compared to last was "That is because you have more specialists - not because of her". That felt real special. I haven't figured out what to do with that. Enough Whine... My knee will be be fine. I just have to do a better job of taking care of myself in general. Safe travels
