An open letter to my child who wanders...

It's Christmas day. The first Christmas that your daughter is really engaged in. She loves the lights and the tree. She has worried about a present for Santa for 3 days now.

Debbie gave her a house with 'persons' in it. She played with that yesterday until bedtime. Natalie and her husband have a gift for her, too.

We have such kind friends.

She opened her gifts while Daniel and I watched. After the first couple of gifts, she ran to get her friends ~ two at a time. Each one 'helping' to open wrapped packages. One of those gifts is a tent/play house. She put all of her new toys in there... along with her 'friends' ~ all of her stuffies. It's "Illies house"

We got her 2 Leapfrogs. One is the Fridge Phonics. We have listened to her sing the ABC's all day with that toy. Occasionally she uses the letters that come with it to listen to the letters. Mostly it's the whole ABC song. We also picked up the Leapfrog Learning Center. She has read her Lion King book off and on today.

She watched Stuart Little between things. When Nathan Lane talks as the Snowball the cat... she just giggles.

Do you remember those magnetic fishing hole games? She has one..it was in her stocking. She has been fishing this evening. For whatever reason, it's important for the fish and the pole to match.

Hollie called today to see how our day was. She misses her Hollie ~ Hollie who wondered how her Christmas was.

She's still so very afraid of a lit candle. She climbs if she has to so that she can blow them out.

She is growing up. She'll be four soon. She's been here almost 2 years. She is safe and well.

She likes to wander around Neopets with me. She loves Blues Clues & Dora the Explorer. We've watched Lion King until she knows the words.

She loves music. She dances & sings. She reads storybooks to her friends ~ "Once upon a time..."

She is a huge fan of Lemonade. She loves stars. Most of the time, her favorite color is blue. Sometimes it's purple. She had to have a mailbox. I found a Blues Clues mailbox.

You haven't called today. Not so much as a peep. I have no way of finding you there. I worry about whether or not you are even alive. There is no one there who would call me.

Where ever you are lost... or where ever you may be wandering... I hope you are okay.

I love you.
